PMG is running an event unlike any other. A race simulation with our drivers and crew at pace, with passengers. Across that day, 22 Wisconsin veterans each take a 22-minute turn in the passenger seat of the #222 race car. In through a live pit stop with tires and fuel going on around them, out on track at pace, then back down pit lane for the next rider. Not a demonstration. The real thing, at speed.
Fund a RideProspect Motorsports Group is a Wisconsin endurance racing team, early in building a professional program with one destination: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The plan is a Wisconsin team, with Wisconsin drivers, backed by Wisconsin organizations, putting Wisconsin missions in the car. The Hero Ride Along is the first of them.

Getting there takes a plan built together, a car handed off between drivers, and someone on the radio every lap. The distance gets covered in hundreds of turns, with a crew behind every one of them.
HOOAH WI runs on the same understanding. Wellness programs, peer support, and certified professionals form a crew around the people who served, so the distance after service gets covered the same way. In turns, together, with someone always on the other end.
That's the whole name. On track and off it, we endure together, and the team is responsible for bringing every one of its people to the finish.

An estimated 22 veterans a day are lost to suicide. That's the number this event is built around, and it's the reason HOOAH WI exists.

A $5,500 donation gives one Wisconsin veteran 22 minutes in a race car, on track and at racing pace. The kind of day most people only watch from a grandstand. Companies and individuals can both fund a ride. The donation goes directly to HOOAH WI, and they issue the invoice and the receipt.
Selection happens inside their organization, from the veterans they serve.
You can put forward a veteran you know. Nominated rides are funded in pairs, one nominated and one open, so every nomination also sends a veteran selected by HOOAH WI based on their criteria. HOOAH WI reviews every nomination and makes the final selection.
Suit and helmet on, then over the pit wall into a live pit stop. Tires coming off, fuel going in, the last rider climbing out and this one climbing in. Belts tight, jacks drop, and they are out on track riding shotgun with a Wisconsin driver at the wheel. At the end of the stint, back down pit lane into the next stop, for the next rider. The same choreography the crew runs every time it swaps a driver.
The team, the drivers, and the organizations that back them all point at one thing: putting Wisconsin's missions in the car.
